Green Tiger Beetle
Seen from April to September, it's a ferocious and agile predator, hunting spiders, ants and caterpillars on heaths, grasslands and sand dunes. It is one of our fastest insects and a dazzling metallic green colour.
Mottled Dingy-brown Click Beetle
A widespread European Click Beetle recognized by its grey-brown body speckled with grey and white spots. Like all click beetles, adults can catapult themselves into the air with an audible "click" to escape predators and right themselves.
